THE POSITION
The successful SQA Analyst – HomeBuilder Accounting Software ensures quality and timely software releases for Constellations largest GA product ERP – NEWSTAR The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Responsibilities include:

1. Continuously refreshes and expands the understanding of how and why customers are using our homebuilder Finance software (use cases).
2. Demonstrates deep caring about user experiences, implementations, what homebuilders are trying to achieve, and ongoing operational success.
3. Does whatever it takes to achieve release dates without cutting corners, with maintainable software that does not require rework later.
4. Performs the technical, system, functional, and regression tests that will safeguard the product from bugs – through the back-end and through the UI
5. Writes SQL queries to validate data integrity and as part of ongoing test efforts.
6. Documents test plans, test cases, and bugs found during testing in Azure DevOps.

• EXCELLENT English verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of Accounting principles
• Deep awareness of the North American homebuilding domain is an asset
• Knowledge/experience with writing and executing SQL queries is a must
• A demonstrable understanding of which type of testing to employ at a given time, based on the context of the project and software solution under test, and QA best practices
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with and defect management software
• Understanding of NEWSTAR is a plus
