LilYPad POS is a web-based point of sale software and service company with customers located worldwide. Our customers are in the family entertainment industry, which include businesses such as trampoline parks, laser tag centers, paintball facilities, indoor playgrounds, roller rinks, escape rooms, ninja courses, etc. LilYPad was developed for and tailored to the Family Entertainment Center (FEC) business model. We offer a product that has been designed for ease of use for owners, managers, and front-end retail staff alike.
POSITION:
Reporting to the CEO, the Full Stack Developer is directly responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the company's products. Being an integral part of the development team, this position requires a professional with high level functional/technical skills to collaborate with other team members under senior leadership to solve technical and software related problems. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter that is comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
The selected candidate will work out of the Contour Software Lahore/Karachi/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience with GitHub or equivalent source management system
- Able to work and contribute individually and as part of a team.
- Impeccable attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Develop and maintain a clean, efficient, secure, and well-engineered code that conforms with accepted standards.
- Responsible for providing timely second level LilYPad support and advice for customers who are unable to find a solution with first level support
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Degree, Diploma, or related experience in the field of Software Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in a related position with at least one other employer.
- (SQL, REST HTTPS, SOAP, etc.).
- Good knowledge of LAMP stack is required.
- Knowledge of Linux (CentOS) and Windows.
- Apache experience or equivalent
- Experience working with MySQL databases.
- Good knowledge of common web programming languages and markup such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
- Experience in software architecture and UX Design
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices
- Significant Web design experience taking projects from concept to code to market (users).
- Good understanding of how to use GIT.
- Strong understanding of scope, time, risk, and quality management
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Service-oriented, client, and team focused.
- Communicate both verbally and written clearly as well as technical and non- technical terms for end-users/customers to understand.
- Ability to work self-directed tasks with good time management skills.
- Ensure that customer issues and technology failures are detected, isolated, and resolved rapidly, and prevented from happening again.
- Assist with application, website, and tech-focused business development.
- Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Assisting with developing and executing test cases.
- Assist in planning and scheduling application release cycles.
Experience in the family entertainment industry or software sales would be considered an asset.
