The Division:

Designed for residential construction projects and business management, NEWSTAR is a production and accounting system that helps make faster business decisions, reduce costs and drive growth.
Constellation HomeBuilder Systems is a division of Perseus, an Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc., a leading provider of software and services to a select group of public and private sector markets.

THE POSITION:
The successful Lead SQA Analyst – HomeBuilder Accounting Software guides the release of quality, timely deliveries for Constellations largest GA product ERP - NEWSTAR. The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Responsibilities include:

1. Continuously refreshes and expands the understanding of how and why customers are using our homebuilder Finance software (use cases).
2. Demonstrates deep caring about user experiences, implementations, what homebuilders are trying to achieve, and ongoing operational success.
3. Does whatever it takes to achieve release dates without cutting corners, with maintainable software that does not require rework later.
4. Performs the technical, system, functional, and regression tests that will safeguard the product from bugs – through the back-end and through the UI
5. Writes SQL queries to validate data integrity and as part of ongoing test efforts.
6. Presents finance software accomplishments by demonstrating the value and functionality to PSG, Care, and Sales.
7. Documents test plans, test cases, and bugs found during testing in Azure DevOps.
8. Proactively delivers on all product team deadlines, ensuring testing commitments are handled with risks mitigated, for timely and stable delivery to customers.
9. Ensures test coverage and traceability from SQA team members is appropriate for delivering commercial-grade products
10. Responsible to work with developers to ensure the bug counts are driven as low as possible.

• EXCELLENT English verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of Accounting principles
• ISTQB Test Manager certification, or on the path towards attainment
• Deep awareness of the North American homebuilding domain is an asset
• A leader thats a responsive team player, self-motivated, quick learning
• Knowledge/experience with writing and executing SQL queries is a must
• A demonstrable understanding of which type of testing to employ at a given time, based on the context of the project and software solution under test, and QA best practices
• Good organizational skills accompanied by consistency in tracking work meticulously
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Expert knowledge of agile and predictive methodologies
• Hands-on experience with and defect management software
• Understanding of NEWSTAR is a plus
