The Position

Working in conjunction with product managers, operations, and quality assurance, you will leverage a breadth of technologies including the most innovative and famous web technology stack. We are looking for an Intermediate Software Developer who will challenge himself and others to constantly come up with innovative solutions, who not only knows how to solve the problem but also helps define the problems and direction and create value while pioneering new frontiers. This is an exciting, dynamic, and challenging position and we are looking for people with initiative, drive, and relevant experience in the industry. The hired employee will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource center, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain Web-based user interfaces for InReach products using a variety of platforms and technologies.
• Collaborate with local and remote development team members to create easy-to-use and powerful Web applications.
• Ensure product quality, consistency, and performance through code reviews and by actively participating in team discussions.

1. BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
2. Excellent communication skills in English.
3. Good interpersonal skills and communication are required.
4. Ability to work in coordination with both onshore and offshore development teams across time zones.
5. Good knowledge of how the browser works and browser APIs.
6. Has production experience with at least one web framework. Preferably a JSX-based one.
   • Understands and applies concepts like Smart and Dumb components.
   • Previous experience with Stencil is a plus.
7. Good CSS knowledge
   • Can use CSS Flexible Box and CSS Grid for layouting.
   • Good understanding of CSS selectors
8. Is familiar with the concepts related to Web Components
   • ShadowDOM
   • Slots
   • Usage of CSS variables
   • Understanding CSS isolation inside ShadowDOM
9. With guidance is able to understand how ASP.NET works.
10. Is able to reverse-engineer and document the logic in a programming language of choice. Being able to reverse engineer jQuery and ASP.NET MVC is a plus.
