The Position:
As a SQA Analyst at CampSite, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create, execute, and maintain test plans, identify defects, and help drive the development of a robust and user-friendly product. Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, and passion for quality will be key assets in this role.
The hired candidate will be in and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office as part of the resource-center team, which is an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with product managers/directors, developers, and other stakeholders to define test objectives, scope, and test plans for new features and enhancements.
- Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated testing to verify functionality, performance, security, and usability of our software. Identify and document defects and track them to resolution.
- Regression Testing: Perform regular regression testing to ensure that existing functionality remains intact after new releases.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Defect Management: Manage the defect tracking process, including defect reporting, analysis, and communication with development teams.
- Debugging: Assist in finding the root cause of bugs before they are handed over to the developers
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a QA Analyst or similar role in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in manual testing and test automation (e.g., Selenium, Katalon).
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - ISTQB or similar QA certification.
- Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
- Knowledge of PHP
- Experience in testing mobile friendly applications.
