Job Description
The Perseus Group, a division of Constellation Software (TSX: CSU), is seeking an Assistant Accountant - Sales Tax for the Perseus Group in the Contour Software, Karachi Office . It is an important supportive role. The successful candidate should be able to accurately maintain and perform sales tax filings, reconciliation, and tax research. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are essential as the ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.

• Prepare and file sales tax returns (USA), GST/HST (Canada), VAT (UK/Europe) and GST (Australia).
• Recording of sales tax payments on time.
• Sales tax rate updates in Great Plains, sales tax accounts reconciliations. And data analysis
• Contacting Tax departments to resolve sales tax notices, questions, and discrepancies.
• This includes responding to letters/requests from the various States/Cities.
• Perform Sales Tax Nexus study, product taxability and implementation of changes required to indirect tax compliance processes as a result of changes to indirect tax legislation.
• This task is high-volume in nature and requires an emphasis on accuracy.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Finalist or part qualified Professional qualification (ACCA / ICAP or similar), Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field .
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Experience with Great Plains.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, work effectively under pressure and work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
