Contour Software is a wholly owned subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI) , and currently houses remote employees for 45 CSI Departments (R&D, Finance, IT, Customer Support, Professional Services) belonging to 30 of CSI's 200+ divisions, in 2 offices [KHI & LHE]. Our parent company acquires, manages and builds industry-specific software businesses which provide specialized, mission-critical enterprise software solutions. The Division
iSalon, a division of Jonas Software, an operating group of Constellation Software Inc., is a leading provider of Salon Software and Services to businesses throughout the world. i-Salon specializes in technology solutions that help salon and spa owners enhance their business processes, sales, and workflow with an integrated suite of management applications.

The Business Partner role focuses on supporting and assisting our customers in the hair and beauty industry as well as assisting internal staff. It is a wide-ranging role touching on all aspects of the customer journey. The ability to connect and build relationships with customers and internally is key to success in this role. This position demands a good understanding and feeling of comfort when using both CRM (currently Zoho) and specific finance packages. A great attention to detail, willingness to help, as well as a knack for customer connection is also required. Being flexible as well as a willingness to help and support internal team members with a variety of admin functions means this person will be involved in multiple aspects of business operations. Flexibility around working times is needed as we work UK hours and as well as Saturday mornings (when time off in the week is given back).

1. Admin and Client Relationship Management:

  • Use Zoho CRM and various finance software to be able to respond to client queries, regarding billing and payments,
  • Understand legal contracts to be able to deal with contract queries.
  • Spot sales opportunities and either convert or pass to relevant person to close.
  • Communicate clearly on the phone and via email.
  • Managing CRM login responses and handling respond to contract terminations while ensuring customers leave on best terms with a zero outstanding balance.
  • Understand invoicing (payments and receivables), and then assisting with chasing any outstanding payments with support from central finance team.
  • Maintain a calm and supportive demeanor in dealing with customers in instances of software not working as expected.

2. Sales Support:

  • Respond to any initial sales enquiry via phone, email and social media channels and record in the CRM.
  • Help process quotes for prospects, sales invoices and process payments using Zoho CRM.
  • Proactively reach out to customers to discuss their account, their business needs and how the iSalon software can further support them.
  • Supporting sales in helping to schedule demos and follow up on quotes sent.
  • Supporting sales and support teams to help schedule installations and training

3. General Office Support:

  • Answer inbound calls and redirect to various departments as necessary or log support tickets (using Zoho desk) if no one is available.

4. Reporting:

  • Use Zoho CRM to create reports and provide information on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis.

5. Additional:

  • Use partner sites to order hardware, software licences and request service visits.

Job Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
  • Strong attention to detail with passion for self-improvement, process, and efficiency gains.
  • Ability to work both independently and as an excellent team player. Must be able to cooperate and work effectively with all levels of expertise within the organization.
  • Ability to analyze issues logically and efficiently and address multiple priorities in a professional manner.
  • Ability to escalate issues to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
  • Some knowledge of the hair and beauty industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
1. Customer Relationship and Engagement
  • Prior experience is preferred, with a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Adept at connecting with customers in the Hair and Beauty industry, understanding their needs, and working with internal resources in presenting suitable solutions.
2. Understanding of Contracts
  • While not essential, familiarity with UK law and contracts would be advantageous. Although training is provided to be able to support.

3. Understanding of invoicing, payments, credits and outstanding balances

  • While not essential, familiarity with all aspects of billing and credit control would be extremely useful (but not essential as long as they have the ability and willingness to learn).
4. Understanding of CRM and Finance Systems
  • While not essential, familiarity with CRM systems (currently Zoho) and various finance packages is needed to be able to understand client asks, respond to questions, record interactions and report on daily, weekly, and monthly activity.

5. Communication Skills and Tenacity
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills to engage with customers via various communication channels.
  • Tenacious and persistent in reaching out to sometimes elusive clients.
6. Lead Generation and Support
  • Capable of identifying and nurturing leads and supporting the sales team by providing opportunities and contacts.

Additional Information:
The role necessitates an individual who can navigate the intricacies of the Hair and Beauty industry, the uniqueness of the business owners and staff, and being able to develop and manage relationships with existing clients while actively supporting new business opportunities. A curiosity and understanding of software would be beneficial.
