Job Description

The Division:
Northpointe, d/b/a equivant, is a leader in software that increases the effectiveness and efficiency of agencies in the criminal justice industry, helps agencies improve client outcomes, and reduces risks for the greater community. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Product Owner to join our team and facilitate the creation of innovative and effective software solutions for criminal justice agencies.

Summary
Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts test and analyze the company's core product software applications to ensure high quality and eliminate programming issues. They are responsible for overseeing the correct functioning of the applications and ensuring new features and company standard requirements are met before product release. QA Analysts work directly with Product Management, Development Managers/Team Leads, and Software Engineers to formulate and complete testing plans and test software applications. Additionally, QA Analysts assist Customer Care Agents and Implementation Specialists in troubleshooting complex functionality issues at customer sites. Should work well in a DEV/QA team environment, both remotely and in person as needed.

Responsibilities

Test, analyze for defects, and support equivant browser-based and client-server products.
Deliver production quality software on time and within budget.
Design detailed, comprehensive test approaches and produce plans, test scripts, and high-quality release documentation.
Participate in stakeholder/owner reviews.
Proactively seek ways to improve user experience, application functionality, and testing practices and standards in coordination with the Development Team.
Use internal systems and procedures to track and report work progress and time spent on task.
Assist Customer Care Agents and Implementation Specialists with troubleshooting complex functionality problems/interactions and customer production site problems.
Collaborate with Product Management on feature designs and producing detailed specifications.
Any other reasonable or necessary duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance testing of complex software applications and object-oriented and multi-tiered systems.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with structured query language (SQL).
Excellent collaboration and verbal/written communication skills.
Experience with TestRail, Katalon Studio, or similar automated testing tools.

Preferences

Capability of working on large-scale software projects and/or multiple product lines simultaneously.
Experience testing web applications and mobile applications.
Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
Familiarity with JIRA, Aha! or similar software development tracking software.
ISTQB Certification
