SIV software is a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation ( "Harris”- an operating group of Constellation Software Inc.). SIV software provides solutions to optimize a utility's billing, financial, asset management and energy management workflows. In addition, SIV provides turnkey business process outsourcing solution for billing and customer care for energy traders and other market participants.
The Position
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to work out of the Contour Software Lahore/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

The Position
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to work out of the Contour Software Lahore/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and participate in technical designs.
- Review technical requirements and participate in story creation and estimates.
- Provide input and guidance on technologies/designs/patterns.
- Develop solutions per business requirements, technical designs, and best practices.
- Actively participate in all the meetings conducted for requirements gathering and building product understanding.
- Create solution documentation as and when needed.
- Work with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure proper knowledge transfer, deployment, and setup.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience of developing complex enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding and experience of PL/SQL Oracle database development.
- Strong understanding and experience of query writing, query optimization and best practices.
- Strong understanding and experience of working with large databases.
- Good understanding and experience of Object-Oriented programming, coding best practices with Java
- Understanding of German language is preferred.
- Strong understanding of architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent Problem-Solving skills.
- Good debugging and trouble shooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work with distributed team in Germany, allowing 7 hours of overlap on daily basis (e.g. start work day from 11am or 12pm Pakistan Time)
