Atex has 13 legal entities in UK, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Finland, France, Singapore, Canada and US. The Finance department is split across the world with resources in different countries. The candidate will be working with the Karachi team as an extension of the Finance Team.
The Position:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join the office of the CTO and help Atex to develop its cloud strategy. For its software offerings, running on AWS, ATEX is searching a skilled Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to drive the adoption of a series of practices to guarantee that the high performance and availability requirements for the services operated are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS services and operational aspects of running SaaS workloads in the cloud, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Build and continuously improve a highly effective monitoring system for ensuring security and operational requirements (reliability, availability, scalability, performance, capacity etc.) are met.
- Build, maintain and improve the automated mechanisms for deploying infrastructure sets on different commercial clouds
- Implement and utilize automation tools for provisioning of service components on cloud infrastructure
- Build, maintain and improve the environment for developing, verifying and deploying the automation and provisioning mechanism.
- Support resolution of occurred incidents and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement
- Implement and utilize automation tools for repeating operational tasks and incident recovery
- Create technical documentation (handbooks) for executing day to day operational tasks
Skills & Experience Required: - 5+ years of experience as DevOps or SRE in an AWS environment, possibly running SaaS services.
- Being able to script/code automations in Lambda or through native mechanisms of AWS
- Strong experience using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as CloudFormation/Terraform
- Strong DevOps automation experience, including setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines and the surrounding ecosystem.
- Experience with application performance management, provisioning and developing monitoring solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Code Pipeline GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD
What will be considered as an advantage:
- Knowledge and experience with implementation of security mechanisms and DevSecOps practices
- Knowledge and experience with the data service of AWS, especially AWS Glue and Amazon Athena and, in general, with the management of data flows and pipelines in AWS.
