While gaining knowledge of the GLOVIA G2 applications and developing technical writing proficiency to GLOVIA standards, the successful hire will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

The Position:
CrescentOne is seeking a Technical Writer for a one-year contract . As a Technical Writer, the successful hire will be responsible for designing, writing, and editing user documentation to support Glovia products in an AuthorIT environment.

Job Responsibilities:
While gaining knowledge of the GLOVIA G2 applications and developing technical writing proficiency to GLOVIA standards, the successful hire will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Creation of new and updates of existing user guides and documents that are technically and functionally accurate and conform to company standards.
- Participate in product review meetings (at various product development stages).
- Interview subject matter experts to gain technical/GLOVIA G2 applications knowledge.
- Publishing user guides/help files in various formats and maintain available content on customer support website.
- Researching, designing, and managing user documentation.
- Monitoring daily customer requests, impact on documentation, and plan the updates to provide the changes based on software enhancements.
- Assist in administering AuthorIT system including issue escalation and troubleshooting.
- Assist in interfacing with management, other departments, and customers to provide writing expertise.
- Assist in supporting Globalization team by providing changes for the translation projects.
- Performs all required administrative functions necessary to the position.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Qualification:- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, technical communications (or related field)
- 0‐1 years experience in technical writing in the IT industry, preferably documenting software products for non‐technical audiences.
- 1+ years of AuthorIT expertise is essential but not mandatory.
- Ideally experience in creating documentation for ERP or business applications
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good collaboration skills with developers and subject matter experts to assist in producing user guides and technical documents.
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing development environment.
- Technical skills should include AuthorIT, HTML, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Visio etc.
- ERP knowledge is essential but not mandatory.
