The Position:
We are seeking to hire a DevOps Technician with experience in provisioning and maintaining Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, App Services, SQL Database, Storage, Functions, Kubernetes, and Service Bus. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality and timely delivery of hosted environments for our customers, as well as our in-house products.
In this hands-on role, you will also be expected to perform tasks related to database performance optimization, IIS log data analysis, and virtual machine patching and upgrading. You will report to the R&D Manager and work closely with the R&D team to meet targets.
You should be able to work independently or as part of a team, either co-located or remotely from home .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The role itself is very varied and will entail:

• Provisioning and maintaining Microsoft Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, App Services, SQL Database, and Storage, for customer hosted environments.
• Monitoring and ensuring the availability and performance of customer hosted environments.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner, including network issues.
• Performing routine maintenance on Azure services and infrastructure.
• Assisting in the implementation of new hosted environments and Azure services.
• Documenting all maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhering to all security and compliance regulations for customer data and environments.

• 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and administration, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, App Services, SQL Database, and Storage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Microsoft Azure certification.
• Knowledge of Azure Functions, Kubernetes, and Service Bus services.
• Strong network troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Familiarity with database performance and optimisation.
• Familiarity with hosting environments and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with .Net development.
• Ability to interpret and analyse IIS log data using tools such as log parsers or log analysis software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
