Virtual Properties specializes in providing agents and brokers a comprehensive browser based and native app solution for all of their business needs. Brokers rely on Virtual Properties to leverage the companys CRM, CMA, Document Management, Transaction Management and Lead Management.

The Position:

We are looking for a Sr. Full Stack Java Developer for the development and maintenance of our Main Street browser-based software platform. The hired candidate will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center, as an extension of the Virtual Properties R&D department. Our environment consists of Tomcat, Apache, Linux, Sybase, Sphinx, Git and Svn. The majority of the Virtual Properties codebase is written in Java. Our environment consists of 100s of virtualized Linux nodes so there is an expectation that the candidate has strong experience working in Unix/Linux environments.

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or a certificate from a technical training institute.
• 4+ years professional software development experience using Java.
• 4+ years professional software development experience using cloud-based Linux servers as deployment targets.
• Experience with Apache and Apache Tomcat in a Linux environment.
• 4+ years professional development experience with relation databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of SVN and Git source code management systems.
