As a DevOps and Tools Developer at MAJIQ you will develop and maintain tools to facilitate software development and deployment. Your goal is to automate everything using best-of-breed tools or techniques and configurations. With the aid of more senior developers and principals in the team, you'll contribute to the design of new processes. You'll work closely with developers, testers, and technical operations teams as you monitor and analyze the efficacy of our development, CI, and deployment process. DevOps and Tools Developers support our development, build, deploy, and release processes, and they work closely with others to constantly improve these. Using an Agile/Scrum methodology, they discuss requirements, propose solutions, accurately estimate their work, and then collaborate with others through the entire lifecycle.
Work alongside application development teams to provide tools to assist in developing, building, deploying and releasing software.
Responsible for the process, maintenance and configuration of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tools and systems
Develop workflow scripts which facilitate the automation of development and operational processes
Monitor the automated build and integration process to ensure correct build execution and facilitate resolution of build and/or release failures
Develop proactive monitoring tools in production to minimize or limit manual intervention and resolution
Have a positive, can-do attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate a passion to grow and learn
Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience in lieu of degree
Two years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
Experience with Windows infrastructures, database SQL (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, .NET, Agile workflow methodologies
Experience with VSTS or other code management systems
Ability to prioritize between multiple projects and complete them in a timely fashion - and follow up with supervisor on conflicting deadlines and priorities
Ability to communicate technical information between technical and non-technical audiences to achieve objectives
Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
