Horizon Retail Solutions provides enterprise resource planning software for high-volume retail chains located in the mid-western United States. Horizon provides full-service offerings to its customers including custom development, training and support. Horizon's offerings are ideal for farm, home, ranch, hardware and home center chains. Horizon's products include Host retail enterprise software, Store-Cashier, Store-Manager, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and PaymentPro.Net.
We are looking to hire 2 Application Support Analysts (.Net) for the Store Product, which is written in .Net. Exceptional English language communication skills - both verbal and written are absolutely required. This individual will be responsible for providing Level-2 technical support to our customers. This will include resolving issues of increasing difficulty as your knowledge grows as well as acquiring programming and database skills on the job. The role is based in the Contour Software Karachi office.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform issues.
- Rectify minor application bugs using MS SQL Server or DB2 using T-SQL or SQL iLE.
- Perform code fixes, minor enhancements, release builds and technical configurations.
- Fix data and DB errors by dialing in to the customer site.
- Collaborate with Dev and QA teams to assist enterprise clients with issues
- Excellent verbal and written English is necessary. No exceptions will be made here.
- Strong database knowledge and experience writing SQL statements (MS SQL and DB2).
- Solid software experience in a Windows networking environment.
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure (DMZ, WAN/LAN, etc.) is required.
- Experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Experience/Knowledge of C# is required.
Work Shift: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Pakistan Standard Time).
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical discipline. Computer Science Majors most preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role - Tier 2/3 technical support required.
